Click on the gear in the upper right corner and select "Link accounts".
Click on "Link account" at the desired platform
Log in to the platform and accept the required permissions
When you are back at adhook, check the connected accounts and confirm with "Save".
You can find more information about this in the article Connect Google & social media accounts .
ℹ️ For Meta (Facebook & Instagram) as well as LinkedIn the account link runs via your personal account.

Create brands
All activities in adhook (e.g. posts or campaigns) are assigned to a brand. So you can easily switch between brands when you start new activities, or you can analyze results accordingly per brand or across brands. Follow the steps below to create a brand in adhook:
Click on "Brands" at the top right of the gear wheel. Depending on how your account is set up, this menu item may have a different name (e.g. Areas, Offices, Stores, Areas, Customers, etc.).
Create a new brand
Give your brand a name
Switch to the "Accounts" tab
Select here all accounts you want to use for this brand.
Once you choose an account, you will be able to select the appropriate page that you want to use for this brand.
Click "Save" to create the brand.
You can find more information about this in the article Create Brand .
ℹ️ As soon as you create more than one brand, you can select the desired brand each time you create posts & campaigns.
Create Post, Schedule & Publish
Start the creation of a social media post in the navigation under "Posts" or in the "Calendar". The creation of a post consists of three steps:
Create content
Define publication
Promote Post (optional)
When you switch between steps, the post is automatically saved. After saving, the post appears as a draft under Posts or in the calendar.
In the final step of the post creation process, you can schedule the post for publication. This changes the status of the post from "Draft" to "Scheduled". Once the time of publication is reached, adhook processes the post. After that, the status of the post changes to "Published".
Step 1: Create content
In the first step, define the content of your post. On the left side you can enter all the information about your post. On the right side you can see a preview of your post for the selected platforms.
Select brand or area
When creating the creative, you first select in the dialog for which brand or area your post should be created. Based on the selection of the brand, various settings such as available social media profiles are automatically selected.
ℹ️ Depending on your permissions & settings, you may only have one brand available. In this case, the dialog for selecting the brand will not be displayed.
Where do you want your post to appear?
In the "Type" field, select whether you want your post to be published on the pages of the selected brand or on personal profiles.
Choose platforms
Select the desired platforms on which the post should be published. All platforms for which a corresponding social media profile is stored will be displayed for you to choose from.
Individualize post per platform
As soon as you have selected more than one platform, the checkbox "Individualize post per platform" is available. This will create a separate tab for each selected platform, where you can define the content separately from the other platforms.
First define the content in general and then activate the "Individualize post per platform" checkbox. This will copy the content to the individual platforms and you can customize the details.
Define Post Text
In the "Text" field, enter the content of your post. You can include the following in your text:
Links
Insert links in the text so that people can navigate directly to appropriate landing pages. If the link is too long, you can shorten it on bitly.com (create a free account).
Optionally, you can also display the link as a link preview. This will take people directly to the target page when they click on the image or title of the link preview. To do this, activate the checkbox "Show link preview" below the post text.
You can find more information about this in the article Working with links .
Emoji
Click the emoji button below the text box to select appropriate emoji for your post.
Hashtags
To use recurring hashtags in your post text, you can save the hashtags as lists. To do this, click on the "#" button below the text field.
Mentions
You can mention other social media profiles in the post text. When using multiple platforms, you must individualize the post per platform to specify mentions for each platform individually. For Facebook & LinkedIn, only organizations (pages) can be mentioned. Public Instagram profiles can be mentioned in the text as well as in the image.
Upload images
Select "Upload media" to insert one or more images into your post. For single images, the image editor will open after uploading, e.g. to crop the image to a suitable format. If you select more than one image, they will be inserted directly into the post. Via the "pencil icon" to the right of the image, the editor can be opened for each individual image.
You can find more information about this in the article Upload images .
Upload video
To use a video in your post, you can also insert it via "Upload media". For uploaded videos, you can choose a thumbnail image that will be displayed before the video plays.
You can find more information about this in the article Upload videos.
ℹ️ The maximum video size is between 100 MB and 1'000 MB depending on the selected platform.
Use media library
Already uploaded images & videos are available in the media library. Click on "Open media library" to search for a suitable image.
Step 2: Define publication
In the second step of the post creation, you choose when to publish the post. You can publish the post immediately or schedule it for a later date.
Step 3: Promote Post
In the last step of the post creation, you have the option to promote the post. After publishing the post, adhook creates a "boosting" based on your information to increase the reach of the post. You can do this as follows.
ℹ️ A paid activity is called a "campaign" in adhook. You can find the details and results of your Post Boostings in adhook under "Campaigns".
💡 Do you want to automatically promote good performing posts within a campaign instead of individual posts? See Automatically promote posts .
Enable Post promotion
Activate the "Promote post" checkbox to create a boosting from the post. The corresponding settings options will now be displayed.
Once the post has been published, adhook will create a campaign from your information to promote the post. You will be informed about the start, progress and completion of the campaign via email. Under "Campaigns" you will find the created campaign and can adjust it if necessary or analyze the results in detail.
ℹ️ Posts from personal profiles cannot be promoted.
Select advertising target
Choose a goal that you want to achieve by promoting the post. The delivery of the boosting will be aligned and automatically optimized based on the selected advertising goal. You can choose between the following ad targets:
Reach : The article is played out to as many users as possible so that it is seen.
Engagement : The post is played to users who particularly like to interact with your post.
Video views: The post is played to users who watch the video of the post for a particularly long time.
Link clicks : Your post will be shown to users who are most likely to visit the link in the post.
Select target group
Your advertised post is only played to people in the selected target group. Target groups are available to you for which corresponding criteria are stored for the respective platforms (e.g. age, education, interests, industries, etc.). These are automatically adapted to your target region.
Below the selected target group, the reach in the individual platforms is displayed.
Select placements
Each platform has different options where your sponsored post can be displayed (placements). Select all the placements you want to use. The recommended placements are already selected.
Choose term and budget
Define how long your post should be advertised in the selected target group and at what budget. The recommended duration and a corresponding budget are already predefined.
Advanced settings
You have the following advanced settings at your disposal, which you can adjust if necessary. The pre-selected settings are recommendations from adhook.
Campaign name
You can give the boosting a custom name to make it easier to find in adhook. By default, adhook creates the name of the boosting based on the post text.
Facebook & Instagram ad groups
The ads of a campaign are divided into so-called "ad groups". By default, an ad group is created for your boosting, which includes the Facebook and, if available, the Instagram post. You can define here if the Facebook & Instagram post should be created in separate ad groups. This is mandatory if you want to split the budget between the promoted Facebook & Instagram post (see "Facebook & Instagram Budget Optimization").
Facebook & Instagram Budget Optimization
We recommend using the boosting budget across all selected placements and optimizing based on the selected advertising goal. This is the default setting in ahdook. You can also set here that the budget should be distributed evenly among the ad groups. This way, the Facebook and Instagram placements will each receive 50% of the specified budget.
Manage posts
An overview of all posts can be found as a list view under "Posts". Here you can also remove or copy posts by clicking on the dots on the right side of the list.
Show posts in calendar
The calendar shows you all the posts you have created, scheduled or published. You can switch between a weekly or monthly view and create new posts by clicking on a desired day.
For more information, see the article Schedule posts on the calendar .
Create campaigns
Besides Post Boostings, you can also create paid campaigns unrelated to posts published on pages or Google Ads campaigns. The following ad networks are supported in adhook.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
Google Ads
LinkedIn
Twitter
TikTok

ℹ️ Existing active campaigns are automatically imported to adhook if you have at least one ad account selected with your brands. See Import campaigns .
