Create brand
Updated over a week ago

Each activity in adhook is assigned to a brand. A brand has various settings stored, such as social media profiles, which are used for posts & ads.

In the various dashboards as well as in reporting, you can filter by brand to gain specific insights or compare your brands with each other.

ℹ️ A brand is a "sub-account" of your adhook account. Depending on your business, you may want to name the sub-accounts in your adhook account as "Offices", "Divisions", "Customers" or "Locations" instead of "Brands". Contact adhook support if you want to change this or if you have any questions.

You can create a new brand by clicking on "Create Brand" in the upper right corner of the gear wheel under "Brands". The following describes the different options you can define during the creation of a brand.

General

In the "General" tab, you can enter a name for your brand. You also have the following setting options.

Status

Set a brand to Inactive to hide it accordingly when selecting it.

Superior brand

You can also define your brands as a hierarchy, which will be displayed accordingly during the selection. Define a parent brand here for this purpose. The brands on the first level of the hierarchy do not have a parent brand selected.

Website

You can refer to the website stored here in templates via the #{{website}} variable. When selecting the template, the variable is automatically replaced with the website of the corresponding brand.

Responsible person

Each brand has a responsible person. Mentions, direct messages and imported activities of the brand are assigned to this person.

Primary brand

If you define multiple brands for a social media profile, adhook does not know which brand to assign when importing activities. The defined primary brand will be used for activity assignment in such a case.

Language

The defined language of the brand is important if you want to work with multilingual templates for posts, target groups & ads. On each template, you can specify the languages in which you want to display the template during selection. Only the brands with matching language will show the template for selection.

Accounts

In the "Accounts" tab, you can select the social media profiles you want to use for this brand. For posts & campaigns, the accounts defined here & pages are automatically deposited.

ℹ️ When creating a post, you will only see the platforms for which a page has been selected on the brand.

Target regions

In the "Target regions" tab, you can define regions that are relevant for this brand. On a target group template, you can specify that the regions should be used by the brand. If you promote a post for this brand and select the corresponding target group template, the regions defined here will be used.

Notifications

In the "Notifications" tab you can subscribe to email reports on results that are generated for this brand.

Permissions

In the "Permissions" tab, you can set default permissions that apply to users who work with this brand.

Post Publishing

In the "Post Publishing" tab, you can configure the review workflows that should apply to posts created for this brand.

Advertising

In the "Advertising" tab you can configure the review workflows that should apply to created campaigns of this brand.

Moderation

In the "Moderation" tab, you can set which messages you want to subscribe to for this brand and how you want to handle notifications about the messages.
