Create Instagram Post
Updated over a week ago

You can prepare and publish Instagram posts in adhook. The requirements are the following:

  1. The Instagram account is a Professional account of the "Business" type

  2. The Instagram account is fully linked to a Facebook page

  3. The Facebook account linked in adhook is authorized to publish content on the page, which is linked to the Instagram account.

  4. The Facebook page as well as the associated Instagram account are selected on the corresponding brand in adhook

When creating a post, select the "Instagram" platform to create an Instagram post. You have the following options.

Create reels

Select the "Reels" format to prepare, publish and promote reels directly in adhook. You can find the format below the platform selection or in case of multiple selected platforms in the tab "Instagram" (activation of the checkbox "Individualize post per platform" required).

Create story

Tag Instagram accounts

Mention another Instagram account by adding the username via "@..." in the Instagram post text. In the Instagram post preview, you can also click on a location in the image to insert a mention in the image.

Important : The Instagram username must be entered in full for the tag to be created. No dialog for searching Instagram profiles is displayed (technically not possible in tools like adhook).

ℹ️ A selected Instagram profile will be notified about the mention once the post is published.

ℹ️ Only public Instagram profiles can be tagged.

Click the highlighted Instagram username in the preview in adhook to open the Instagram profile. This way you can make sure you entered the name correctly.

Link preview

You can't use link preview in Instagram. In addition, the links in the post text are not clickable. Therefore, add the links in your bio (e.g. via a tool like Linktree ) and link to them in the post text (e.g. via "Link in Bio").

Mark location

You can add a location to your post, which will be displayed in the post. To do this, search below the post media for a corresponding location and select it.
