Generate posts
Updated over a week ago

With Post Generation, you can prepare a post once and schedule/publish it automatically for selected brands (e.g. business locations). This way you can publish the post with minimal effort in the respective social media profiles of the brands.

Proceed as follows to create a post generation:

  1. Click on "Automation" in the upper right corner and select "Generate Posts".

  2. Create a new post generation via "Generate new post".

  3. Define a name for the generation.

  4. Select all brands (e.g. offices) for which you want to create the post.

  5. Create the post creative. The sender of the post is the social media profile stored on the brand (e.g. the Facebook page or the Instagram account). You can also work with variables here, e.g. to store the name differently for each brand. Define variables on the brand and refer to them in the post text via #{{variableName}}. You can find more information about this in the article Create brand .

  6. Define the publication date for the post generation. On the selected date, the generated posts will be published accordingly.

  7. Determine whether the generated posts should be promoted. Select an appropriate target group and define the duration and budget. If the selected target group template uses the "Target region per brand" setting, the target regions stored on the brand are automatically used for the generated posts. See also "Target regions" in the article Create brand .

  8. Activate the generation to create the posts according to the specified information.

As long as you are working on the generation, it is in the "Draft" status. When everything is ready, you can activate the generation. This will create individual posts for the selected brands from your entries. You will find them as normal posts under "Posts".

ℹ️ Post generations with status "Planned" can be edited normally. The changes can be transferred to the already created posts via activation. This means that adjustments do not have to be made individually in the post, even if the generation has already been activated. As soon as the posts are published, the status of the post generation changes to "Completed".

Would you like to use review workflows for the generations so that they are checked by people before activation? Contact adhook support so that we can configure this for you.
